World HSS

World Healthcare Students' Symposium is an educational symposium that will be organized for up to 400 students from different healthcare professions and healthcare students' organizations. During the event students learn about each others expertise and find ways to cooperate more efficiently in the future.

In cooperation with other students’ organizations, namely IFMSA (International Federation of Medical Students’ Associations), EPSA (European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association and IPSF (International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation), the World HSS aims to strengthen and highlight the inter-professional cooperation between different fields of medicine, with a special regard to public health and patient safety.

During the symposium the participants:

• attend lectures about important issues in Health care, concerning public and global health among others.
• work together during the working groups on various topics and think together about new ¨multidisciplinary¨ projects.
• discuss the benefits of the integration of different fields of medicine.

The student organizations are planning a fourth edition of World HSS, which will probably be held in 2011.
